The Mighty Meek!

Why is meekness an attribute that is looked upon so highly in the bible? The Idea behind biblical meekness is gentleness with power or power under control, most especially under control of the Holy Spirit. Our Lord Jesus is a manifestation of this idea – the Lord of Glory made man – having absolute power and yet submitting himself wholly unto his Father’s will.
